Britney Brogan, BSN, CSN - District 30
Britney Brogan - District 30 (Lincoln County)
Britney Brogan has been a dedicated registered nurse for over 18 years. After earning her BSN from Marshall University in 2006, she has gained diverse experience across various healthcare settings. Her passion lies in caring for children, with her first role being on the pediatrics floor at Kings Daughter’s Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Now, Britney serves as a full-time school nurse in Lincoln County, WV, where she was born and raised, alongside her family.
Britney is now running for the West Virginia House of Delegates for District 30, which includes nearly all of Lincoln County. This is her first venture into public office, motivated by her concern over the ongoing attack on public health by certain members of the current West Virginia Legislature. As a school nurse, one of her primary goals is to ensure her students are vaccinated against preventable childhood diseases. Additionally, Britney sees the struggles parents face in securing adequate childcare and accessing essential resources in the rural parts of the state.
Having worked closely with children and adolescents, Britney is deeply aware of the mental health challenges they confront. She understands how the lack of accessible mental health services can significantly impact young lives. If elected, Britney aims to advocate for Lincoln County's children, bringing their needs to the forefront in the West Virginia Legislature.
Sarah Drennan - District 20
Sarah Drennan, RN
Dedicated to public service and healthcare advocacy, I am Sarah Drennan—a passionate candidate for the House of Delegates and a seasoned Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse. With a strong foundation in nursing, I have honed my skills in critical care, empathy, and collaboration. Now, as I embark on the journey to represent our community in the House of Delegates, I bring a commitment to healthcare, education, and community well-being. Join me in this endeavor to create positive change and ensure a brighter future for our district.
With a proven track record of service, both in her professional life as a nurse and through her various community engagements, Sarah Drennan is ready to be your voice in the West Virginia House of Delegates. She brings a unique blend of compassion, experience, and dedication to the table, ensuring that the 20th District is well-represented.
Addam Gibson - District 42
Addam Gibson, RN
Addam Gibson is committed to advocating for all unions, from teacher's unions to coal miners' unions. He fights for better funding and higher quality education for his district and all of West Virginia. He supports raising the minimum wage and protecting Social Security for those in need. Addam aims to bring more infrastructure and job opportunities to his district, with a particular focus on Southern West Virginia, an area that has often been overlooked.
Believing in the importance of supporting small businesses, he advocates for lower taxes and easier access to resources for entrepreneurs. As a nurse, Addam seeks to lower prescription drug costs and ensure equal access to healthcare for everyone. He is dedicated to improving healthcare for veterans and active-duty military personnel, ensuring they receive the support they deserve.
Not a career politician, Addam is a nurse who has dedicated his life to serving the people of West Virginia. He believes it is time to step into politics to help combat the negative perceptions surrounding the state, whether related to economic struggles, substance use disorder, or other challenges. Having lived in West Virginia his entire life, he has a deep love for the state and recognizes the need to create change to retain young people and offer them new opportunities.
These are just a few of his goals for his district and the state. Addam understands he cannot achieve this alone; he needs the support of everyone—young and old, Democrat, Republican, Independent, and Libertarian. That’s why his campaign slogan is “Of the People, For the People.” He sees immense potential in West Virginia and believes that together, we can make a difference.
