WVNA Nominations and Awards Committee – Meeting Topics
The committee will address the following agenda items:

Scholarship Recipient Selection Criteria – Review and finalize the standards and process for choosing recipients.

Call for Applicants – Develop and promote the process for soliciting candidates to serve on the West Virginia RN Board and LPN Board, including the WVNA Board interview and Governor submission process.
- Call for Nominations - Develop and promote the process for soliciting candidates to serve on the WVNA Board.
- WVNA Annual Awards – Plan and coordinate the nomination and selection process for annual WVNA recognition awards.

AANP NPO Registration Nomination – Select an individual to utilize WVNA’s complimentary non-profit registration for the annual AANP conference.

Other ANA-Associated Opportunities – Nominate WVNA members for national programs such as the American Nurses Advocacy Institute (ANAI) and similar initiatives.
Speakers

Family Nurse Practitioner at Belington clinic
Wilson is a lifelong resident of Barbour County who graduated from Philip-Barbour High School. She earned an Associate of Science in Nursing from Davis and Elkins College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alderson Broaddus College. She went on to earn her Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing. During the school year, Wilson works at the Brandon Wellness Center at Philip-Barbour High School. She also does house calls to see home-bound patients and makes home visits at Talbott Personal Care Home. She has clinic hours at the Belington Clinic on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
