WVNA March 27 letter from President Wilson and more
Posted over 5 years ago by Julie Huron

Dear WVNA Members,
Please find a press release from WVNA President Joyce Wilson and a letter of support from WVONL (formerly WVONE) commending WVNA. We are grateful for their support, as we believe we are all in this together!
WVNA is greatly involved with behind the scenes actions. Please reach out to us with any ideas that you may have or concerns that you don't see addressed. We spend hours connecting the healtcare dots in West Virginia.
Over the last week...
- we have been linking hospitals to sites where we see potential sources for PPE
- we have been in regular briefings at the local, state and federal level with policy makers
- we are having weekly calls open to all nurses in WV
- we are working with CNOs across the state and we will be having them speak during weekly calls when possible
- we are working with the DEA to reconcile how the lifting of prescriptive formulary limitations intersects with our DEA registration that includes only 3-5.
- we are linking nurses with serious safety concerns to OSHA and legal counsel
- we are regularly receiving calls from individuals and addressing needs and answering questions as we can
We have a team of volunteers that are on a continuous "chat" brainstorming, reaching out to organizations across the state, and they are sharing resource information with WVNA, as well as the current status of COVID-19 across WV.
Please utilize our COVID-19 Pandemic Link for resources and possible answers to your questions.
Contact Julie at the Central Office if we can help with anything. We support you, we care, we have great respect, admiration and love for nurses!
Warmest regards,

West Virginia Nurses Association
