Attention Nurses:
Please call your WV Delegate right now and ask them to vote yes on the committee substitute for HB 2789. This bill will end the certificate of need requirement for birth centers in WV. The bill will have its 3rd reading on Tuesday, February 7.
WVNA has long supported expanding access to birth center care in our state. Birth center care is evidence based and WV families travel across the border to 3 of our neighboring states (PA, MD, and VA) to access it, as WV has only one birth center. Find your delegate at this link: openstates.org.
