Title of the Study: Current Practice Patterns in Management of Tracheostomized Patients: An Interdisciplinary Provider Survey

Invitation: You are invited to participate in this research study about your experience with patients requiring a tracheostomy within the past 6 months. Approximately 2,000 participants will participate in this study.
 
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the current practice patterns between nursing staff, respiratory therapists and speech-language pathologists with patients requiring a tracheostomy within the past 6 months.
 
Participation: Eligible individuals will be practicing registered nurses, respiratory therapists, or speech-language pathologists who have worked with at least one patient requiring a tracheostomy tube within the last 6 months. If you meet all the criteria you are welcome to complete this survey. If you decide to participate in this research, you will be asked to complete one electronic survey. The questions in the survey relate to your training and experience with patients requiring a tracheostomy within the past 6 months. The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. Your survey responses will be kept anonymous. No additional identifiable information will be gathered from this survey.
 
Your permission is voluntary. At any point during the study you may decide to not answer a question, or to cease participation, and be excluded from the study.
