ANA NPI survey - your help is needed!
Posted over 1 year ago by Julie Huron

The American Nurses Association (ANA) is contacting you today to encourage you to participate in a brief, anonymous survey on National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers for Registered Nurses.
Registered nurses (RNs) are integral to the health care team and spend significant time with patients providing clinical services. In the current health care financing system, this work is generally not accounted for or specifically linked back to the value of a nurse. The lack of a unique nurse identifier such as an NPI number makes it extremely difficult to record, measure, and value the services RNs provide and their impact on patient outcomes.
We are asking that you participate in this anonymous brief survey to help ANA collect data on barriers for our continued work to encourage all RNs to register for NPI numbers and create a stronger recognition of the full value nurses contribute to the healthcare system! The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. You can access the survey here: National Provider Identification (NPI) (nursingworld.org).
Thank you for your help!
Sincerely,
ANA Policy and Government Affairs
