Call for Nominations
The West Virginia Nurses Political Action Committee will be electing new officers to its Board of Trustees on Tuesday May 21, 2024 at 7pm. The positions that will be open are;
- Chair,
- Treasurer and
- Secretary.
Those interested in running for these positions should submit a letter of intent, a current CV, a biography, and a photo. Applicants must be a WVNA member in good standing or a member of an Organizational Affiliate Nursing Partner.
The WVNPAC will begin the process of conducting candidate reviews and interviews for endorsements for the 2024 general election. If you are interested in serving on the WVNPAC Board of Trustees, please plan to attend the next meeting on Tuesday May 21 at 7pm.
The WVNPAC is involved in Political Endorsements from June through September of an election year, (we do not give funding), we score candidates, do stratagized interviews and get to know a few candidates better. WV Nurses are a large voting block of over 40,000 nurses, therefore, candidates want to talk to nurses.
Our work consists of two meetings a month with additional work (homework) in-between. You might meet with a candidate or possibly do research as needed.
