The West Virginia Nurses Association (WVNA) recognizes individual WVNA member and organizations across the state who exemplify excellence in nursing. These awards honor outstanding contributions to nursing in West Virginia, highlighting the positive impact nominees have made on their colleagues, patients, families, organizations and in their communities.
The WVNA Nominations and Awards Committee has re-opened the call for nominations one final time to ensure deserving candidates are considered. Don’t miss this opportunity—submit your nomination today! The new deadline is Friday, January 31, 2025.
Please nominate exceptional WVNA members who are nurse leaders from your facility, organization, or community who demonstrate outstanding contributions to the profession. Self-nominations are also welcome! WVNA will follow up on membership. Please include an example of why you or your nominee deserve this recognition. We encourage you to collaborate with nursing colleagues or friends to compare notes and submit multiple nominations, each with personal examples showcasing why the WVNA nurse should receive this award.
The 2024-2025 WVNA Awards Ceremony will be held during the Celebration of Nursing Dinner at the Embassy Suites by Hilton on Sunday, March 30, 2025. This event takes place the evening before Unity Day—Nurses’ Day at the Capitol, scheduled for Monday, March 31, 2025.
