Subject: Vote NO on SB460 (Be sure to state this in your subject line in case they do not open the email.)
“Dear Honorable Delegate (insert legislator’s last name),
(If applicable… As a constituent of yours or As a parent of ____children in public/private school/childcare facility …) I am emailing to ask you to vote NO on Senate Bill 460.
If passed, Senate Bill 460 will move West Virginia from having one of the most effective school and childcare immunization requirements in the nation to having one of the weakest. It will lead to reductions in immunization rates in West Virginia and put our children and communities at risk for outbreaks of preventable diseases.
This bill will open the door to the return of these diseases to our communities, putting children, particularly those who are most vulnerable, at risk. We ask that you do not jeopardize the health and safety of our children and communities by weakening West Virginia’s childcare and school immunization requirements.
We are proud that West Virginia has long been a leader in protecting our kids and communities from unnecessary disease. We do not want to change this.
We ask that you vote NO on SB460.
Sincerely,
Your Name
Thank you for your help!
