Unity Day Updates - for those unable to travel today
Posted 8 days ago by Julie Huron
Dear WVNA Unity Day – Nurses’ Day at the Capitol Attendees, Sponsors, and Exhibitors,
Due to the current weather conditions and snowfall across the state, we recognize that travel may be difficult and that many of you are experiencing varying levels of impact in your areas. Your safety is our top priority.
Although these circumstances are challenging, we remain committed to providing nurses and students with a meaningful legislative experience, including opportunities that will still qualify for Honor Cords.
Nurses and students are encouraged to participate virtually by watching the Legislative floor sessions at 11:00 AM and tuning in to the House Health Committee meeting and hearing at 3:30 PM regarding our APRN bill, HB 5681, which is on today’s agenda. Please contact the house health committee members and ask them to vote yes on the APRN bill - HB 5681. The link to the bill is below as well as all links to watch and listen to session and committee hearings and to contact legislators.
Thank you for your flexibility, dedication, and continued advocacy for our profession.
Sincerely,
Julie
